Most of us have a medicine cabinet full of prescription drugs which have expired. This is especially true of pet medications; a lot of people don't give all of the prescription to their pet, or they keep some around in case the pet gets sick again. How long do those drugs last, anyway?
I get this question all the time. Clients call to say they have this or that medication at home and they want to know if they can still give it to their cat.
This is also a question that vets tend to avoid, which is why we posed it to our own Irreverent Veterinarian.
Read his response here (it's a really good one): How long do expired medications last?
